The Twist Cone in Aberdeen, South Dakota. The parents of a childhood friend owned the place for several years. To this day, the Twist Cone is a MUST on my to-do list every time I visit my hometown.

***Perhaps, I should say Scotty’s WAS a place that made me smile. Last month the place changed names, is now a bar, and the original 1960’s sign came down. How sad. On a positive note, I hear the food has remained the same, though I am not sure how long that will last
